We have an immediate need for a

Forensic Engineer

Denver / Kansas / Ohio / North Carolina: You should have an interest in forensic investigation, litigation support, and repair/retrofit design. You will be expected to execute investigations of existing buildings and design remedial repairs for damaged and deficient conditions. The investigations include failure origin and cause analysis, repair cost and feasibility analyses, property/builder's risk (insurance) response, litigation support, and repair design. You will be required to coordinate with other team members, support marketing efforts, and develop and maintain client relationships. This role can require up to three long-distance trips within the U.S. to various offices or sites each month.
  • Investigate losses on commercial structures 

  • Perform site inspections independently and on a team as needed

  • Perform damage assessments and cause and origin investigations

  • Capture samples for testing and needed

  • Document observations with photographs and written notes

  • Technical report writing

  • Track billable time and manage expenses

  • Analyze documentation on construction defect litigation cases

  • Maintain licensing requirements

  • General computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Calendar, Excel, Outlook, PPT, etc.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering disciplines from accredited college or university

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license

  • 1 year experience in Forensic Engineering

  • Fitness level to climb ladders, lift 50 lbs, squat, bend, kneel and drive at least 3 hours in a day.

  • Valid driver’s license
